Family life before Islam made the
division of all elements of life, severing all relationships. Family relations
cannot unite relatives, cannot help relatives. family relations are filled with
malice and contradict each other, hate and rebuke each other. There is no
respect for women and their honor is not guarded
For example, women who are
polygamous are considered as animal innards that can be traded in the markets.
They were set as slaves and despised, as well as in ancient Hinduism.
In most European societies, women
are not entitled to private property. Created to serve men, he has no right to
own his own clothes. He was also not given the right to the property that he
had worked for himself with the results of his own sweat.
Meanwhile, among Arabs, women are
even more humiliated. They bury their daughters alive as Allah says which
means:
"And when one of them is
given happiness with (the birth of) a daughter, then their faces turn black in
a state of anger." (Surah an-Nahl 16 : Verse 58)
"They hide themselves from
the people because of the bad news of what makes them good news. Will he hold
him in disgrace or will he bury her in the ground. Remember, so bad what they
charge !
(Surah An-Nahl 16 : Verse 59)
The Arabs at that time did not
give inheritance rights to women and small children from the descendants of the
deceased, but they gave inheritance rights to those who faced the enemy and
joined the war.
They make women as inheritance by
force, he throws his clothes at the wife of the person who inherited it while
saying: "I have the right of inheritance in the form of his wife as I have
the right to receive inheritance from his property". So that person has
more rights over the woman than himself.
They forced their female slaves into prostitution, in order
to produce property. They make their father's wife as an inheritance combined
with other property. Furthermore, the ex-wife of the father will become the
wife of his son.
This is the marriage system that was broken before Islam,
then came the Islamic religion which gave women what should be their rights in
full with the light of justice. Islam makes women the foundation of a life
based on just and civilized humanity. Islam attaches great importance to and
maintains their dignity. And put women in a proper place according to their
behavior. Islam prescribes and explains inheritance rights for their.
Allah SWT. said: “For men there is a share of what their
parents and relatives left behind. And for women there is also a part of what
is left by both parents and relatives. From a little or a lot according to the
determined portion.
(QS. An-Nisa' 4: Verse 7).
As Islam forbids being a woman as a forced inheritance,
Allah says: “O you who believe!!! It is not lawful for you to inherit women by
force.” (QS. An-Nisa' 4: Verse 19)
As Islam forbids forcing female slaves to commit
prostitution, Allah says: "And do not force your female slaves to commit
prostitution, while they want to maintain their chastity because you are
looking for the treasures of the life of this world."
(Surat an-Nur: Verse
24)
As Islam forbids marrying your father's ex-wife by refusing
from this crime, then Allah says: "And do not marry women your father has
married except what happened in the past. Verily this is sexual immorality and
wrath, so bad is the journey.”
(Surat an-Nisa: Verse 22)
